Ouch.

The Chicago Bulls’ NBA championship hopes just took a serious hit with news that reigning MVP Derrick Rose is out for the season with a torn ACL.

After a season struggling with injuries, Derrick Rose was looking good in game 1, and then with just over a minute left in their victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, Rose went down.

Granted, the Bulls have played well without Rose this season…..they earned the #1 seed for the entire NBA for these playoffs.

However, playoff basketball is different than regular season basketball.

Sure, they’ll get through the 76ers and maybe another round……but it’s tough to envision a scenario where they make the NBA finals.

I’ll be rooting for them, but it looks grim.

Best wishes to Rose on a speedy and full recovery for next year.
