NBA Playoffs: Day 1 Highlights

Day one is in the books, and no one could say it was uneventful!

Bulls vs 76ers

The Bulls were in control most of the way. The 76ers had a late run, which makes the game look a little closer than the reality of the situation.

The biggest news is that Derrick Rose is out for the entire playoffs with a torn ACL. What a tough loss for Rose and the Bulls. They’ll still be able to handle the 76ers, but how much further in the playoffs can they go?

Heat vs Knicks

As discussed previously, you never know which Knicks team is going to show up. Well, it must have been the bad one this time, as the Knicks got destroyed. Lebron James had 32 points to lead the Heat.

Pacers vs Magic

With Dwight Howard out for the Magic, this was supposed to be an easy series for the Pacers. Ooops……they forgot there were plenty of motivated players left with the Magic, and they pulled out a game 1 upset.

Thunder vs Mavs

What a game! You knew that the defending champion Mavs weren’t going to be an easy ‘out’, even though they had a rough year…..but who could have expected such an exciting game 1 in this series. There were plenty of clutch plays on both sides of the court towards the end of the game, with Kevin Durant getting the last shot and scoring from the free throw line — check out the video below.

Great games for day 1 of the playoffs!
