NBA Playoffs Update

First round action is still in full swing while selected round 2 action is getting started.

For the first round, there are a couple intriguing game 7′s coming up.

Today, the Lakers take on the Nuggets. The series looked like it was going to be a blowout after the first couple games, but the Nuggets have really buckled down, while the Lakers appear to be uninterested. Ron Artest / Metta World Peace returns to the Lakers after his suspension, and it will be interesting to see what energy he brings.

Additionally, another Los Angeles team – the Clippers – blew a chance to close out their series with the Memphis Grizzlies last night at home. Their game 7 in Memphis is on Sunday afternoon. I haven’t watched much of the Clippers this year, but they didn’t look good last night — no hustle, unforced errors, mental errors, always complaining to the refs, etc. Based on that, I’m pulling for the Grizzlies on Sunday.

In terms of round 2, it get started this evening with the 76ers vs the Celtics.
