Nearly anyone that’s an NBA has by now seen the replays of the Ron Artest / Metta World Peace elbow of James Harden. for those that haven’t seen it, the video is embedded below.

The NBA has now come out with their penalty: a 7 game suspension.

The timing couldn’t be worse for Artest or the Lakers.

With only 1 game left in the regular season, the suspension will keep Artest out of the Lakers lineup for 6 games of the postseason.

Artest has been a solid contributor for the Lakers this year, and it’s a big blow to their lineup.

I wish a speedy recovery to James Harden, who received a concussion from the elbow.
